ranges from intravital diagnostic over basic science and applied clinical research, to teaching at both the graduate and post-graduate level. Morphological diagnoses in pathology serve as bases for any further diagnostic or therapeutical procedures.
Modern practice of pathology encompasses a variety of diagnostic techniques and includes a variety of fields of interest and study. This multitude of facetts of pathology has lead to a subdivision of the department:
