The highly specialized laboratories for molecular diagnostics, electron microscopy and cytology are equipped with the latest apparatuses and examination techniques.

The Institute  of Neuropathology deals with intravital and post-mortem examination of brain tissue as well as of muscle- and nerve-diseases.
